Collaboration Officer at the Middle Military Region
As a Collaboration Officer at the Swedish Armed Forces, you will be a vital part of a successful team within an agency experiencing strong growth. Together with competent and dedicated colleagues, you will have responsibility, development opportunities, and challenges.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of Collaboration Officer, you are responsible for building and maintaining good relationships and contact channels with civil authorities and other actors.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the Commander of MR M within the county, which includes, when necessary, holding dialogues with strategic and executive levels among civil actors.
- Represent the Commander of MR M in the county's crisis management organization from both planning and execution perspectives.
- Lead specific planning work within the staff and participate in command teams to support the execution of operations.
- Lead a designated collaboration group within the assigned county or another county to support the coordination of operational activities.

Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education
- Officer degree/Specialist Officer. SO 7/8 or OF 2
- Good verbal and written skills in Swedish and English
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Good computer skills

Merits
- Previous experience in military staff service
- Completed international service in one of the Armed Forces' operations

Other Information
Employment type: SO 7/8 or OF 2. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

The position involves travel (primarily within Sweden), recurring readiness, and participation in exercises.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit
The Middle Military Region (MR M) is a wartime unit and an organizational entity where the Commander and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of the Commander with staff, six training groups for the education and support of the Home Guard, and approximately 7,000 Home Guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and several independent units. The Commander of the Middle Military Region, with a regional staff, leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders solving tasks within the region. The region also acts as a link between the Swedish Armed Forces and civil society, having active cooperation with the County Administrative Board and the Region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, in national crisis situations and support to society. The Military Region performs tasks in peace, crisis, and war.
The organization and operational area of the Middle Military Region cover the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and the Home Guard are present in each county.
